Docs videos, re-recorded per release.
For the person who owns the documentation and is tired of screenshots of last year's interface. Your agent films each flow once from a plan, you keep the plan in the repo, and after a release you run it again and replace the file. The result is a GIF or a small MP4 for the page.
Start with one prompt.
Paste a sentence like one of these into Claude Code or Codex. The agent plans the take and Vidi records it. Pick a prompt to see what it makes.
Record the export flow as a 9 second GIF for the docs. Save the plan as docs/export.plan.json.
WHAT IT MAKES
A short looping GIF, and a plan file you commit next to the page it belongs to.
A captioned MP4 exported at compact quality, which keeps the file small.
The same flow filmed again from the new build, with the plan updated in the diff.
How it works.
01
The agent writes the plan
It opens your app or your docs build, finds the element for every step and saves the plan as a JSON file.
- inspect_page
- create_demo_plan
02
The plan stays in the repo
Commit it beside the page it documents and it shows up in review like any other change.
03
Record, then trim
Vidi records in the background. On the timeline you trim the start and end, speed up slow steps and caption where the flow needs a word.

04
Export a small file
Export a GIF, or an MP4 or WebM at compact quality, whichever your docs tool plays.
- GIF
- MP4
- WebM
05
Re-record after a release
When the interface changes, the agent edits the plan and records it again, and you replace the file in the docs.
